For Aurora By Aurora

Fox Valley Developers is an Aurora-Centric group of business leaders who have come together with the shared purpose of preserving, restoring and repurposing the historic campus to transform and renew the Bardwell neighborhood.

The partners in the group are three sets of brothers who all share deep connections to Aurora and have achieved professional success in their respective fields.

After watching the campus decay over the past several decades, these life-long friends decided to do something about it and offer the City of Aurora a new path that would deliver immediate results for the community.

The immediate task of remediating, securing and preserving the campus is expected to cost between $12-16 million. After the campus has been deemed clean of environmental hazards to the satisfaction of local and state environmental regulators, the developers will be eligible for up to a $3 million reimbursement from the City.

“We realized it’s time to step up and help the City solve this problem by improving this property in a way that the entire community benefits,”

– Fox Valley Developers statement to the Aurora City Council.

“This property has been a detriment to the community for far too long and its repurposing is of economic significance to all of Aurora.”

– Mayor Richard Irvin, August 28, 2018
