Parks & Greenspace
Partnerships and grants have already been provided to help fund the creation of additional parks, open space and landscaped walking paths.
Expected Completion: Fall 2020
As the concept for the campus was being refined, Fox Valley Developers discovered that the park district had previously noted a deficiency of open space and parks in the neighborhood.
To help move the community forward and to provide an enhanced living experience in an integrated campus setting, the team acquired additional land and proposed re-configuring roads to build new walking paths, landscaped open space and a new neighborhood park.
The innovative living community will be seamlessly connected to the surrounding neighborhood through the system of landscaped walking paths. This will provide for enhanced connectivity, livability and a superior quality of life.
To better integrate and reconnect the campus and Bardwell Elementary to the surrounding neighborhood, landscaped walked paths are proposed along the perimeter and interior of the campus.
A New Community Amenity
The Fox Valley Park District has committed to funding completion of this new neighborhood park and playground area, after it received a grant from the State of Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
The new play area will be open to the neighborhood and residents of the Innovative Living Community.
